I'm an A.I. fanboy. A big one. And I started using OpenAI's language model, GPT-3, to create Apple shortcuts for all kinds of useful and ridiculous (equal parts) applications.
I've linked the ones I've made so far below, with a little description of the training I put into each one. If you download any, please let me know what you use them for! I'd love to hear where these shortcuts end up in the world!
Sometimes, I find it hard to get something done. It can be laborious, or challenging, or I'm just not in the f mood.
And this little applet tries to fix that.
For the training data, I made it take in a challenge as an input, and taught GPT-3 how to answer in a witty, encouraging, and friendly way. I did that by literally just typing in some examples of things I struggle with, and ways I would motivate myself to do them. I also added some kaomojis (these guys: ヾ(ᴖ◡ᴖ), ) — surprisingly, GPT-3 nailed those as well! So you'll get a little (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻ and also sometimes a little ヽ(^。^)丿 and even ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thrown into your results. Fun!
Enjoy getting stuff done!
Ingredients labels for food or other household items are packed with words I don't know. With the power of A.I., now that stuff is completely accessible.
For the training data, I used ingredients lists to generate a range of food and cleaning supplies, so that the A.I. model knows it can get both, and needs to discern between them. I also added an example for too few ingredients items, and for spoof items (like dirt). The rest was just using GPT-3 to generate good analyses on OpenAI's playground, and then copy-pasting those into the training data.
The result is a really cool shortcut, that even lets you scan an ingredient label with your camera and extract the text directly from that!
